THE HOUSE

Situated on a spacious, elevated site in a tranquil country setting with spectacular views of Lough Beltra and the Croaghmoyle Mountain, the lodge is bright and cheerful with bay windows and skylights that let in the natural sunlight. It's ideally located in the peaceful townland of Glenhest (www.glenhest.com) on the north shore of Lough Beltra – yet only a short drive to the bustling town of Newport.

MAIN FLOOR SITTING ROOM

The ground floor of the house features a spacious, tiled entrance hall and a large (4.6m x 5m) sitting room with an open fireplace (logs and fire starters are provided). The sitting room is furnished with a comfortable couch and chairs, a game table with chairs and a writing desk, making it the ideal spot to plan a day's adventure while the morning sun illuminates the room through the large bay window – or to relax by an open fire when the day is done.

KITCHEN & DINING

The spacious, tiled-floor kitchen and adjoining dining area is fully-equipped with an integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas hob and electric oven. All kitchen and cooking utensils, cutlery and other supplies for cooking and cleaning are provided. Two windows and large sliding-glass doors bring in plenty of sunlight. The sliding door in the dining area opens up to the rear of the house for easy access to the Weber Genesis 3200 propane barbeque grill (propane provided). The back door of the house opens into a utility/boot room with a sink, washing machine and connected guest toilet.

MAIN FLOOR BEDROOMS/BATHS

The main floor's master bedroom (4.7m x 3.4m) looks out over Lough Beltra through a large bay window and features a comfortable king bed with a private, fully tiled bathroom and walk-in shower. A second bedroom also features a king bed with a heated closet/drying cupboard. Between them is a large, 2.3m x 2.5m, fully tiled family bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower.

UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS/BATHS

Upstairs, two spacious dormer-style bedrooms (3.6m x 3.3m & 5.4m x 2.9m) are fitted with king beds, skylights, walk-in heated wardrobes and ensuite bathrooms.

All of the bedrooms have unobstructed views of Lough Beltra.

THE GROUNDS

The secluded grounds feature a large teak table and comfortable chairs in the front of the house which overlook Lough Beltra for outdoor dining or enjoying the sunset. The house is surrounded by a gravel drive for ample parking, and two nearby footpaths (one private that's reserved exclusively for our guests) provide access to the beach on Lough Beltra and the mouth of the Crumpaun River for quiet walks and exploring.
